Fundraising Ideas | Scholarships

As we approach Camp, one of the questions we know you are thinking is:

“How am I going to pay for it?”

In order to make Camp as accessible as possible, we have multiple options.
We want to help your student raise the funds for Camp.

Fundraising Ideas

Things others can pay you to do

  • Dog wash

  • Pressure wash driveways

  • Mow lawns

  • Weed flower beds

  • Art work/ Hand lettering

  • Babysitting

  • Tutoring

  • Dog sitting

  • Dog walking

  • Help someone you know organize their house

  • Help someone you know clean

  • Car Wash

  • Mother’s Helper- could be at a house while the parents are home to help watch kids while the parents work or complete another task

  • Work certificate- come up with a list of 3-5 tasks you are good at & offer 1 hour work certificates for a minimum donation of $15 per hour to complete a task.

Types of things to sell

  • Popsicles

  • Candy Bars

  • Lemonade Stand (could be good to set up during a neighborhood yard sale or other event that drives a lot of traffic)

  • Casseroles - Find something you can make in bulk & resale for dinners or side dishes. You could even do themed things like items for cookouts such as pasta salads.

  • Bake Sale - can be as simple as sugar cookies or you could pick one type of item to prepare (such as brownies) & sell them by the pan online. People could pre-pay so you know how much to make & then you have them pick up at a set time/location.

  • Collect donations for a big yard sale.

  • T-shirts (through websites like Fund the Nations)

  • Handmade Crafts or Art

Unique Ideas

  • Flamingo Bingo: Purchase 10-20 yard flamingos & place them in someone’s yard with a note. For a set price (usually around $20) you will come get the flamingos & place them in a new yard, of the payer’s choice.

  • Organize a Cornhole tournament, Basketball Shoot-a-thon, or Disc Golf Tournament.

  • Host a Parents Night Out with a group of students at your house.

  • Host a Spirit Night at a local restaurant with friends. Some chains that occasionally offer these options are Chick-fil-A, Zaxby’s, Krispy Kreme, Sonic, Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, Panera Bread, Papa Murphy’s, Panda Express, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chipotle.

Donations

  • Calendar Fundraiser : Use social media to post a one month calendar. Friends pick a day and send you that amount of money. Each day can only be chosen once. If you have every day of a 30-day month calendar chosen, you are fully funded.

  • We do NOT recommend using GoFundMe or other crowd-sourcing websites.
